Good morning reader,
Fancy seeing you here. I usually only post to Substack on Fridays and Sundays, but I’m toying with starting a biweekly post for my subscribers that’s a brain-dump of what’s top of mind for me recently from a health perspective. Hopefully you find it to be engaging!
I have recently developed a strange addiction: researching the morning routines of high-impact individuals in an effort to hone my own — self-helper Mel Robbins coined the term “Million Dollar Morning” recently and it couldn’t be more fitting for what these high-achievers are up to. In my inner circle it’s no secret that I am obsessed with people who have mastered their craft: professional athletes, all-star business people, military special operators, tech tycoons, the list goes on. I frequently read their autobiographies, scout their X accounts for pearls of wisdom, watch their docuseries (“The Last Dance” is a favorite I keep coming back to). I am fascinated by what it takes to truly pursue excellence. To a certain degree, my currency is success — not from a materialistic perspective, but from the vantage point of valuing hard work, discipline, and perseverance. In my opinion, these qualities are non-fungible and becoming less and less common throughout society.
